Meet the owners: Julia and Angela
Julia started hairdressing straight after school. She worked for many years as a manager running a salon for someone else. Until she decided to get together with her partner Angela and start their own venture back in 2010. Angela’s background is in HR and business management. Together they have combined their skills and RespeKt your HAiR was born.
Their vision is to treat all their clients with respect and share their knowledge and passion they have for the industry. From the first step you take into their salon, you will be treated like a life-long friend. It’s their mission to make you feel welcome and at ease.
Julia and Angela understand that it can be scary to see someone new and trust them with your hair, this is why they keep themselves and their staff up to date with all the latest industry trends and know how, to give their clients the utmost service they can.
Meet our fabulous staff: Alicia and Samuel
Alicia has recently moved from Sydney and is excited to get her hands on your hairs. Her passion is short hair cuts, loves a good fade and making that tapered look work for you. But it does not stop there, she is also a great colourist and happy to look after your long locks.
Samuel has traveled the world, lived overseas, been part of major fashion events and has now settled back in Melbourne. He has many years under his belt and truly shows his passion for hair through his immaculate work. His favorite word is 'Perfection', this is what he aims for when he does your hair, so be sure to come see him for your next hairy needs.
Meet the salon whippet: DeXta
DeXta has been growing up in the salon. This super friendly female whippet is the salon’s resident dog, and is happy to have a play with you while you are getting your hair done, entertain your kids, or get a cuddle if she feels like it. She also loves to show off all her tricks that she has learnt since she came to the salon in December 2013. DeXta often gets visitors from clients in between their hair appointments, nothing better than kick starting your day with doggy loving, which is sure to increase your endorphin levels.
